Maya Peretz

Maya Peretz, Ph.D. in Comparative Literature (1979), is an independent translator and reviewer working in Washington, DC. In 1995 she received a Kayden meritorious achievement award for translations of Halina Poswiatowska’s poems. These translations have appeared in the following journals: The Berkeley Poetry Review, Modern Poetry in Translation, Quarry West, The Snail’s Pace, The Dirty Goat, screens and tasted parallels, Mr. Cogito, Translation Perspectives, Beacons, Literary Bridges.
