Stephen Kessler's most recent book of poetry is After Modigliani. He is the author of five previous books of original poetry, and translator of nine books of poetry and fiction from Spanish, including works by Fernando Alegría, Julio Cortázar, Ariel Dorfman, and Nobel laureate Vicente Aleixandre. His new translations of Pablo Neruda and César Vallejo will be coming out shortly. He lives on the coast of Northern California, where he edits The Redwood Coast Review.
