Patricia D. Fox, a native of Washington state, did dissertation work on "Myth and Rationality: Imaging the Socialist Nation," in the Departments of Spanish and Portuguese and Comparative Literature at Stanford University. The project focused on socialist cultural politics and the construction of the national image in post-revolutionary Cuba and Hungary.
