Elena Serebryanik Bell

Elena Serebryanik Bell is a native of Uzbekistan and presently resides in northern California. She is a performing artist as well as an interpreter and a translator. She received her BFA at the Tashkent Theater Arts Institute (Uzbekistan), and her MA in Translation and Interpretation from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Her collaboration with Sally Lee Stewart on translations of Central Asian women poets resulted in their two-women show, "An Evening of Central Asian Poetry and Dance." She has been a guest artist in the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival, the AEI San Francisco/Assisi sister city project, and many other productions.
